Page 68:
The tobacco-finish guitar was the basis for a Gibson Custom Shop recreation in 2003, the Duane Allman 1959 Les Paul, in Aged finish.

Page 133:
Distinguishing features:
- Grover Rotomatic tuners with metal kidney-bean buttons
- 'Ribbon' or 'gullwing' flame on aged-finish maple top
- "DUANE" spelled out in fret wire on body rear
- Two BurstBucker pickups

Production & serial numbers:
- Nashville Custom Shop, limited edition of 55
- 55 Aged by Tom Murphy, serial-numbered with "DALLMAN" prefix

General info:
- Re-creation of Allman's darkburst Les Paul, known as Hot 'Lanta, which is now at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame & Museum in Cleveland, Ohio, on loan from Allman's daughter Galadrielle
- Despite the name of Gibson's re-creation, Allman's original guitar has no serial number and so cannot be dated to a single production year.
